Discography

Over the last two decades, Ainsley “Notnice” Morris has become one of dancehall and reggae’s most defining producers, creating an expansive catalogue that has shaped the sound of modern Jamaican music. His productions have brought together an extraordinary list of artists, from icons like Vybz Kartel, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Sean Paul, Elephant Man, and Lady Saw to international stars such as Busta Rhymes, Shyne, Gentleman, Richie Spice, Maxi Priest, and Julian Marley. He has also been pivotal in launching and developing the careers of some of today’s biggest names, including Popcaan, Jah Vinci, Alkaline, Nordia Mothersille, and Jafrass.

Notnice played a key role in Vybz Kartel’s Portmore Empire between 2009 and 2011, producing a string of chart-topping singles including “Last Man Standing,” “Cake Soap,” “Mama,” “Bend Like Banana,” “Get Wild,” and “Benz Punany.” He also crafted breakout hits for members of the camp such as Jah Vinci’s “Watch Yuh Friends” and “Mamma Love,” Popcaan’s “Gangster City” and “Dream,” Shawn Storm’s “My Life,” and Gaza Slim’s “One Man.” His international profile exploded with “Romping Shop,” the collaboration between Vybz Kartel and Spice that became a staple on American urban radio and peaked at #76 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2009.

In 2011, Notnice was named Producer of the Year at the Excellence in Music & Entertainment Awards. That same year, he parted ways with the Portmore Empire and briefly collaborated with businessman Corey Todd, quickly finding success again with Jah Vinci’s number-one single “In My Life.” By 2012, he was fully independent, continuing to dominate with the rise of Alkaline and hits such as “Things Mi Love,” “Live Life,” “Weh We A Guh Do,” “Move Mountains,” and “Gyal Bruk Out.”

Notnice’s versatility has allowed him to work across generations and styles. He produced Spice’s massive global hit “So Mi Like It,” one of the most streamed dancehall songs of all time. In 2021, he produced Jah Vinci’s massive single “Virgin,” which became the most streamed song on YouTube in Jamaica that year. In more recent years, he has delivered standout productions such as Jah Vinci’s “Scream” (2024) and Nordia Mothersille’s collaboration with Agent Sasco, “Ms. Dior” (2025). These projects demonstrate his continued ability to shape both mainstream anthems and culture-shifting records.
